Sustainability and partnerships are
key elements to building our projects
successfully.

Assess Feasibility

Before a wind turbine blade gets to spin in the air, state-of-the-art technology is used to identify viable sites efficiently. From LiDAR to high-resolution aerial imagery, our analysts and meteorologists analyze data to design positions of the turbines.

Review Infrastructure

Our engineers work with regional power grid operators to study transmission systems and determine the infrastructure needed to safely inject power.

Protect Nature

We respect nature and our environmental specialists follow industry best practices to minimize the impact of our projects on local habitats and wildlife.

If an area is suitable for a wind farm, we meet with potential landowners to share project details, maps of the area, facts about wind energy, economic benefits and answer questions.

Build Relationships

Relationships with our landowners are our number one priority. Landowners have access to a dedicated team of experts during the development process. Every opportunity to keep open lines of communication is taken; one-on-one meetings, local events and mailed correspondence.

Finalize Plans

Before construction, we work with landowners to review wind turbine placement and access roads. The wind turbine array is designed to create a comfortable distance from buildings, road and structures, and adheres to local, state and federal requirements.

Begin Construction

The construction process includes building access roads, laying foundations for the wind turbine towers, installing the wind turbine tower sections, nacelles and blades. The town will profit with bustling activity during this time.

Operate and Utilize Land

Once operational, a typical wind farm uses 1 to 2% of the total leased area, allowing remaining land to be used for other purposes, like growing crops and keeping livestock. Wind energy is a great source of revenue generation for landowners.

Generate Revenue

Wind projects are good for your neighbors too! The tax revenue generated by a wind project helps support local schools, STEM education, fire departments and public roads.
